Foreign, particularly American, laboratories on the territory of Armenia is not, said on Wednesday the press-Secretary of the Armenian foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan.

Earlier, the Russian foreign Ministry stated that Moscow is concerned about the US military-biological field, in particular related to the medico-biological activity of the us military near Russia’s borders. The Armenian authorities say that created US money laboratory are entirely under the control of Yerevan and expresses readiness to cooperate with Russia.

«Recently the media disseminated information that the Russian experts were admitted to the laboratory in Armenia. I want to say that in Armenia there are no laboratory or laboratory of some other country. They all act only under the jurisdiction of Armenia and there are citizens of Armenia,» — said Balayan.

He confirmed that Russian experts visited the laboratory, adding that this reflects the nature of the bilateral Alliance.

As stated by the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, Moscow believes that, despite all the assurances of the Americans to the contrary, medical and biological activities of the United States is in the interests of the Pentagon, not for humanitarian purposes such as the prevention and control of communicable diseases in the republics of the former Soviet Union. At the meeting of the Council for development of civil society and human rights, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that in Russia do not understand what purpose the collected biological material of different ethnic groups. Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov said that information on the collection of biological material of different ethnic groups by some emissaries and NGOs were the Russian special services.

Later the representative of the aviation training command (AETC) U.S. air force Beau Downey said that the Pentagon collects biomaterial to study the musculoskeletal system and that the choice of the Russians for these purposes was not intentional.
