Weekly inflation in Russia was 0.1%

Weekly inflation in Russia from 18 to 24 September have risen by 0.1% since the beginning of the year, consumer prices rose 2.4%, according to Rosstat.

Inflation was at zero level for three consecutive weeks, in the period from 28 August to 17 September. Before two weeks, inflation was kept at 0.1% and the previous period of four weeks from 17 July to 13 August, was also zero.

Over the past week, prices of eggs rose by 3%, millet — by 2.5%; pork, chicken, smoked sausage to 0.5%; boiled sausage, sugar, wheat flour — 0.4%; frankfurters, sausages, canned meat, cheese, pasta — by 0.3%; beef, mutton, milk, sunflower oil, bread and rice — by 0.2%. At the same time buckwheat prices dropped by 0.4%.

The decline in prices for fruits and vegetables on average amounted to 1.5%, while the carrot became cheaper by 6.2%, potatoes — by 4.2%, onion — by 3.1%, apples — by 2.8%. At the same time, the price of cucumbers and tomatoes has increased by 5.3% and 3.2%, respectively.

Prices for gasoline have not changed, on diesel fuel — rose 0.1%.
