Chancellor of Austria, will visit St. Petersburg to meet with Putin

Chancellor of Austria Sebastian Kurz next week will visit St. Petersburg and meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday Russia’s Ambassador to Austria Dmitry lubinsky.

«Next week the Chancellor will visit Saint Petersburg. It is the fourth meeting between Putin and Kurtz only this year that shows on the one hand, the special nature of our bilateral relations, but their positive dynamics,» — said the Ambassador at the event in Vienna.

The last time Putin and Kurtz talked in August. The Russian head of state visited a wedding ceremony, the foreign Minister of Austria Karin Kneissl and Austrian businessman Wolfgang Meilinger, after the wedding, he had a brief conversation with the Chancellor of Austria at the airport of Graz. As told by Kurz, Putin also discussed the issues of relations between the European Union and Russia.

In June, Putin and Kurz held talks in Vienna. Day trip to Austria was the first foreign visit of Putin after the entry on may 7 in the position in the current presidential term. The visit was timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the exports of domestic gas to Austria.

In addition to the meeting with Kurtz, the Russian President held talks with President Alexander van der Ballena, laid a wreath at the Central Monument to the Soviet soldier-liberator on Schwarzenbergplatz in Vienna, visited the business forum of the Russian-Austrian business Council in the Chamber of economy of Austria.

In addition, Putin and Kurz held talks in Moscow in February.
