Russian President Vladimir Putin greeted the organizers and guests of the historical and documentary exhibition «Russia and Tajikistan: the path of friendship and creativity,» noting the new level of interstate relations of Russia and Tajikistan, the press service of the Kremlin on Thursday.

«I cordially greet you on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition «Russia and Tajikistan: the path of friendship and creation», dedicated to the history of relations between our countries and peoples. This major exhibition is dedicated to the remarkable date – the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance, the signing of which provided the conditions for a major expansion of interstate relations of Russia and Tajikistan», — stated in the corresponding telegram published on the Kremlin website.

The President said that over the past quarter century, relations between Moscow and Dushanbe reached the level of Alliance and strategic partnership. Established a bilateral political dialogue, effective trade and economic, investment, scientific-technical, military cooperation, he said. Develop multifaceted regional contacts, exchanges in science, culture, education and enlightenment, it gives a good return coordination in regional and international Affairs, including within the CIS, SCO, CSTO and other multilateral institutions, said the head of state.
