Plenipotentiary representative of RF President in far Eastern Federal district Yuri Trutnev believes the decision of former Governor of Sakhalin Oleg Kozhemyako to take part in elections of the head of Primorsky Krai «brave enough», he said this to journalists after the inauguration on 9 September the Governor of the Amur region Vasily Orlov.

On Wednesday, the press service of the Kremlin reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted the resignation of acting Governor of Primorye Andrey Tarasenko was appointed acting head of the region Oleg Kozhemyako. «With regard to the decision of Oleg Nikolayevich Kozhemyako to appeal to the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin with a request to allow him to participate in the elections, I’ll see him tomorrow, Oleg. I think that from him directly recognize the roots of this decision. Well, can one say that this decision is rather bold for him. I would so gently put it. Because today he will have to resign (the Governor of Sakhalin — ed), but on how his life will develop, it will be decided by the citizens of Primorye. What decision they will take, so on and Oleg to live,» — said Trutnev told reporters.

The electoral Commission of Primorye last week on the recommendation of the CEC of Russia has recognized the results of elections of the head region is invalid. The former acting head of the region Andriy Tarasenko declared that considers correct the decision. The candidate from the Communist party Andrei Ishchenko said that he would contest the results in three areas — in Ussuriysk, Artyom and Nakhodka. He noted that the statements of claim prepared, and some of them have been filed. According to Deputy Plenipotentiary of the RF President in the far Eastern Federal district Grigory Kuranova, new elections of the head of Primorye must pass 16 or December 23.

In the course of summing up of the election candidates were alternating the lead, after processing 100% of ballots Tarasenko received from 49.55% of the votes, while Ishchenko is 48,06%.
