Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev congratulated the Russian team on winning the skills competition EuroSkills 2018 and noted that contestants from regions of Russia showed the ability to work at the level of world standards.

«I congratulate the team on a brilliant performance at the European championship in vocational skills EuroSkills 2018 FIFA! Contestants from different regions of Russia showed that they can work at world standards, to win the competition from big-name rivals in an honest and hard struggle,» Medvedev wrote on the social network Facebook.

The Prime Minister said the competition EuroSkills 2018 FIFA once again proved that in Russia a lot of ambitious, qualified and talented people who are willing not only to work but to do it with full dedication.

Medvedev thanked all who prepared the participants to the European Championships and wished the participants new achievements and victories.

EuroSkills is the largest in Europe of professional competitions for young people up to 25 years, which are held every two years in one of the 29 countries participating in WorldSkills Europe.

From 25 to 29 September 2018 to a sixth championship was held in Budapest. The competition EuroSkills 2018 41 competence involved 48 Russian children from 17 regions of Russia. Following the results of competitions Russia took the first place in the medal and points standings. The championship in the Hungarian capital, was attended by 600 participants from 29 countries of Europe.
