The text of the new agreement the North American free trade zone NAFTA will be submitted to the Senate of Mexico on Monday night, said the Minister of economy of Mexico Ildefonso, Guajardo.

«I instructed the Deputy Minister Juan Carlos Baker to make this night at the Mexican Senate, the text of the trade agreement. In the case of the agreement with Canada it will be tripartite, otherwise it will be bilateral,» he wrote, Guajardo in his microblog on Twitter.

U.S. and Mexico reach agreement on NAFTA previously. Negotiations of the USA and Canada were separate, and, as reported by the canadian television channel CTV News, citing a senior us official, on Monday night the parties failed to reach an agreement.

There is to be a joint statement of canadian foreign Minister Christi Freeland and US trade representative Robert Lighthizer, adds the channel.

USA, Mexico and Canada at the urging of the American President Donald trump are in talks on updating the free trade zone NAFTA. Trump has also stated that they would prefer separate trade agreements with Mexico and Ottawa, which almost certainly would put an end to NAFTA.
