«The letters set forth the position of the Russian Orthodox Church on the question of the so-called Ukrainian Autocephalous Church and the possible negative consequences of the actions of the Constantinople Patriarchate to the unity of universal Orthodoxy. It also contains a proposal to undertake efforts to begin a pan-Orthodox discussion of the situation», — said the Archpriest.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is trying to achieve recognition of non-canonical religious structures and of establishing a local Autocephalous Church in Ukraine.
