The Russian transport Ministry hopes to launch the movement of vehicles with dangerous goods on the Crimean bridge and a half-two months, told journalists the Minister of transport Eugene Dietrich.

He reminded that today, for the organization of delivery dangerous goods in the Crimea carriers must apply for such permission.

«I believe that within one and a half-two months, they (the carriers — ed.) will continue to use the ferry, and then we’ll start including (on the Crimean bridge — ed.) vehicles carrying dangerous goods,» said Dietrich on the sidelines of the transport-logistics forum.

A bridge to the Crimea from the Krasnodar region — the longest in Russia, its length is 19 kilometers. The beginning of the movement of vehicles originally planned for December 2018, but the work was completed ahead of schedule. Russian President Vladimir Putin opened the automobile part of the bridge across the Kerch Strait may 15, the movement of vehicles running on 16 may. The opening movement of trains on the railway part of the bridge is scheduled for December 2019.

Freight traffic opened on the bridge on 1 October.
