In Moscow in front of the «Ostankino» held a memorial service for those killed during the storming of the television station, which took place during the civil conflict on 3 October 1993, informed the correspondent of RIA Novosti from the event.

The constitutional crisis of 1993 was a continuation of the confrontation the first President of Russia Boris Yeltsin and his supporters with opponents of reformist politicians led by Vice President Alexander Rutskoi and Chairman of the Supreme Council Ruslan Khasbulatov. Political disputes escalated into armed clashes in downtown Moscow, the assault of Ostankino television center and city hall, as well as the introduction of military equipment and the firing of the White house. According to various sources, the victims of «black October» was about 160 people.

According to the correspondent of RIA Novosti news Agency, the rally organized by the Communist party, was attended by about 50 people. The participants of the funeral were carrying portraits of the dead with their names and age when they died. Others were holding red flags of the Communist party. At the end of the service came and laid carnations at the monument to the victims.

The Communist party officially announced the campaign on its website.

Earlier the Deputy from the Communist party faction Sergei Shargunov brought to the state Duma a draft law on compensation of harm and measures of social rehabilitation for the victims of the civil conflict in Moscow in 1993.
