NATO has provided Ukraine assistance in the establishment of a centre for incident response in cyberspace to protect networks from hacking attempts, said the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

On Wednesday and Thursday at the headquarters of NATO in Brussels gathered the Council of defense Ministers.

«NATO has been helping Ukraine in strengthening its cyber security its cyber capabilities. We do this through our trust funds. We have a trust Fund for cyber defense,» — said Stoltenberg on the results of the negotiations.

«We also help them in protecting their own networks and infrastructure. For example, NATO currently is helping Ukraine to establish a centre for responding to cyber incidents, which will be one of the ways to help her cope with incidents or attempts to interfere with or hack into Cybernet» he said.

The national security Council and defense of Ukraine in September, approved the main parameters of the defense budget in 2019, his priority will be strengthening in the field of cybersecurity, implementation of measures on development and modernization of special communication and information protection.
