The government of the Ryazan region signed a Memorandum of cooperation with the Belgian-Luxembourg chamber of Commerce, which will enable the parties to establish direct business contacts between entrepreneurs and expand the export potential of enterprises, said on Thursday the regional government.

The signing ceremony of the Memorandum took place on 4 October. The document was signed by Vice-Governor of the region Igor Greeks and CEO of the chamber Oleg Prozorov.

«We want to make the Ryazan region the most attractive for investors, are in this direction a great job. The Governor has set a target to increase by 2020 the volume of investments in three times. And we have all the conditions to be met», – said the Greeks.

He noted that the region is actively expanding business ties, both within Russia and abroad, has a good package of preferences and measures of state support for investors. The Vice-Governor invited the partners to consider such a promising area as the territory of advancing socio-economic development in the village Forest Shilovsky district, industrial parks in Ryazan and Pronsk areas.

«The Memorandum of cooperation, which we signed today, will be an important step in the development of relations between the government of the Ryazan region and the Belgo-Luxembourg chamber of Commerce in Russia. This will allow us to establish direct business contacts between businessmen, to facilitate their participation in international exhibitions, and expand the export potential of enterprises. We are ready to cooperate and are open to all proposals», — said the Greeks.

General Director of the Belgian-Luxembourg chamber of Commerce in Russia Oleg Prozorov noted that on the eve of a very productive working meeting was held by the delegation of the chamber with representatives of the development Corporation of the region, where were discussed all questions of interest to today Belgian and Luxembourg investors that have experience in Russia, identified promising areas for the successful development of mutually beneficial ties.

The Luxembourg company «LF Business Solutions SA» has already announced its plans to participate in the project construction and operation of a multimodal transport-logistics complex «Dry port «Ryazan». The agreement was signed by the government of the Ryazan region, JSC «Corporation of development of Ryazan region» and the Luxembourg company 1 Oct.

«The project, which was planned in the Ryazan region, for us meaningful. The construction of multimodal transport and logistics complex will attract together almost 5 billion rubles of investments. It is expected to create more than 3 thousand jobs,» — said the Ryazan region Governor Nikolai Lyubimov.

According to him, the region conducts an active investment policy.

«Cooperation with the Luxembourg financial holding company enhances our ability to build a modern business infrastructure and large-scale logistics. This complex is already in the Kaluga region, in the industrial Park Vorsino. Will try that in the Ryazan region there was such a Freight Village. This is a very promising project, I hope that it will attract new investors, which will be located on the territory of the transport-logistic Park», – said the head of the region.

Lyubimov noted that the regional government will provide the company with all necessary assistance, including the granting of preferences in the preparation of the site from the point of view of communications engineering. Development Corporation of the Ryazan region will provide informational and organizational support of the project.
