Ukraine would require Russia to transfer the «Ukrzaliznytsia» 30 thousand cars, said the first Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko. About it reports the UNIAN Agency.

According to her, the cars after the start of the conflict remained in the territory of the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk national republics. With 85 of them bought on credit from the European Bank for reconstruction and development. The debt for them, as the Deputy noted, has yet to pay.

«Obviously, we also appeal to the competent law enforcement authorities of Ukraine that should be prosecuted for the theft,» — said Gerashchenko.

«They always need provocation»

According to the political scientist, Deputy Chairman of the Public chamber of the Republic of Crimea Alexander Formanchuk, Gerashchenko «the long lost sense of reality.» He called her words nonsense.

«She has passion in other ways to support the Russophobia, look for additional reasons to justify their position. <…> They need provocations,» he said on radio Sputnik.

According to him, now comes the campaign, and Gerashchenko wants to stay in power.

In addition, said Formanchuk, the escalation of the conflict with Russia, Ukraine is a major campaign resource.

«Gerashchenko is trying to throw into the furnace of the escalation of another problem, to mobilize additional resources for the preservation of the regime. This policy of Russophobia acquired the character of a continuing hysteria of the ruling class. They are in thrall to the policy which they themselves have created», — concluded the expert.

Closure of railway traffic

Earlier, the Minister of infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian announced that Kiev may close railway communication with Moscow. At the end of 2017, he also claimed that the losses of the Ukrainian side from this decision will be only one hryvnia.

While in the state administration of railway transport (Ukrzaliznytsya) reported that the most profitable Ukrainian train in 2017 became part of the «Kiev — Moscow», he brought nearly six million dollars.

However, passenger traffic long-distance trains in Ukraine were in General deeply unprofitable. The total loss amounted to 3.5 billion UAH (about 7,5 billion rubles).

As noted by the MP Igor Mosiychuk, the TV channel «112 Ukraine», the country’s economy could collapse in the event of the closure of the border with Russia

«Millions of Ukrainians, like them who are not related, but it’s all the same Ukrainians, the Ukrainian citizens, operating on the territory of the Russian Federation. And if tomorrow, relatively speaking, close the border, how the people to the house to get mail, parcel post?» — said Mosiychuk.
