Saudi Arabia and Russia are considering a joint investment in renewable sources of energy, said on Twitter, Minister of energy, industry and mineral resources Saudi Arabia Khalid al-falih.

«Russian energy week I noted the strength of the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Russia. The two countries consider the increase of mutual investments in the energy sector, especially in the gas sector, and the importance of investing in renewable energy,» said al-falih as a result of participation in the Russian energy week.

According to him, the Kingdom in cooperation with Japanese holding company SoftBank has «ambitious plans» in the field of renewable energy.

Russian energy week (REN) takes place in Moscow from 3 to 6 October. MIA «Russia today» is an information partner of the event.
