Acting Governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako called insufficient budget of the region and announced the intention to increase.

«There is a very weak budget, i.e. 102 billion on 2 million of the population, is very small. Despite the fact that where I worked (in in Sakhalin region – ed.) was 140 billion, is now accepted, for 500 thousand people», — said Kozhemyako told reporters.

According to him, the budget of Primorsky Krai «very simple, very profitable for the Finance Ministry, to Moscow». «There is the revenue part, for example 95 billion and all expenses from here are from. School — that’s as much as you want, and twist the hospital — as long as you want, and twist. Not on the fact that there is a need for much more and the budget should be formed at the level of 110-115 billion according to his needs, with some deficit, so that we resolved the issue. And finally we have «welfare»: no accounts payable, no budget deficit, the only life either,» — said Kozhemyako.

The issues related to demography and population outflow, is the quality of life, he said, but people need simple things: «that was not in hospitals 1.7 billion of debt on drugs», the indexation of salaries, major repairs in schools and that they meet the requirements. Also Kozhemyako noted that the region lacks teachers, doctors.

«What to do? Really need to increase the expenditure commitments of the budget and to put these requirements in Moscow. Because all the good, and projects, and ports, and direction of development are correct, but until we create normal conditions for life here… a Lot done, but it’s not touches the lives of ordinary people. While I have the power, authority, these decisions I’m about to make is not a program. The budget is now adopted. Today there are many problems: no money, no social, not enough teachers, broken roads, and so on. I say, let’s create one problem — no money, and the rest will be gradually put into the budget and move, and deal with one problem — money,» said Kozhemyako.

Russian President Vladimir Putin last week accepted the resignation led Primorsky Krai from October 2017 Andrei Tarasenko and appointed acting head of the region Oleg Kozhemyako, head to this Sakhalin oblast.
