U.S. Secretary of state Mike Pompeo stated that he agreed with North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN on steps for the denuclearization of the DPRK and the monitoring of this process, the United States, reported on Sunday the official Twitter account of the administration of South Korean President.

As reported, Pompeo arrived in South Korea immediately after the visit to the DPRK, and held a 40-minute meeting with South Korean President mun Jae Another, where he told about reached agreements with Kim Jong-UN.

«The Secretary of state Pompeo announced that they had agreed on steps to denuclearize, which would take the DPRK on the issue of the presence and surveillance of the US (this process is — ed), and also discussed the response from the United States,» said a senior Secretary to the President for public relations Yoon Yong Chan.

Moon Jae-In on the meeting with Pompeo said that the latter’s visit to the North and future summit, the US and North Korea will help achieve «irreversible progress» in denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Pompeo’s visit to Pyongyang was to be held in August, but was cancelled due to the lack of significant progress in the implementation of the agreements reached at the first summit of the U.S. and North Korea in Singapore, which took place on June 12. The U.S. and North Korea are trying to agree on the sequence of steps to implement agreements on denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula and normalization of relations between Pyongyang and Washington. Since then, however, some specific steps were: Pyongyang is waiting for Washington to implement the agreements reached, and the US administration States that dissatisfied with the lack of new steps by the DPRK on nuclear disarmament.
