The authorities of the Chelyabinsk region in 2018 will receive more than 5 billion rubles for benefits and discounts in trains and public transport to pensioners of the region, said Monday the press service of the Governor of the region.

The Governor of Chelyabinsk region made a speech at the event dedicated to the Day of the elderly person, the veteran asset. Dubrovsky reminded that in the result of joint work with the regional government, the legislative Assembly of the region adopted a number of laws, according to which without reference to the new parameters of the pension age for men from 60 years and women 55 years of age will be provided regional benefits.

«Saved discount for travel on trains and local public transport for pensioners-gardeners, certain categories of veterans of the great Patriotic war guaranteed lump sum on the repair and overhaul of housing, and for veterans of labor and military service, as well as veterans of work of Chelyabinsk region continue monthly payments. The expenses of the regional budget on these social protection measures will exceed 5 billion rubles», – the press service quoted the words Dubrovsky.

According to the head of the region, to fulfill all obligations in full allow the performance of the economy achieved in the last four years.

The press service reminds that according to the decision of Dubrovsky in the coming year, the government’s priorities will be improving the lives of veterans and elderly people, environmental problems, infrastructure development in districts and cities of the region – will expand program «the Real deal», private projects for the upgrade of public transport and improvement of houses for Chelyabinsk, a healthy lifestyle and taking care of children.

The government will pay special attention to the renovation of old sports facilities and construct new facilities and to area residents whose children were born in the year of the 85th anniversary of the region will develop additional measures of support, adds a press-service.
