The authorities of Leningrad region will allocate scholarships to young scientists every year 2.3 million rubles, reported to journalists by the Governor of the region Alexander Drozdenko.

«The authorities of the Leningrad region will allocate scholarships to young scientists every year 2.3 million rubles. The corresponding article of expenses is provided by the draft regional budget for the 2019-2021 years,» said Drozdenko.

Prize of the Governor of Leningrad region awards annually to young, till 35 years inclusive, and lead scientist for the execution of research activities aimed at socio-economic development of the region. In addition, the funds are young and leading scientists during their scientific-research work of importance for innovative development of the region.

Earlier Drozdenko stressed that «the awarding of the personal scholarships are aimed to support young scientists engaged in promising developments.» «The fruits of their scientific work will be the basis for the development of innovative production on the territory of the Leningrad region», — said the Governor.

Now address awards and grants are more than 30 young scientists from leading developments in mathematics, physics, medicine, chemistry, biology, genetics, and other Sciences.

Scholarships from the head of the Leningrad region also receive athletes, students, young doctors. So, when applying for work in companies of the health sector of the Leningrad region lump sum will be 30 thousand rubles — for the doctor and 15 thousand rubles for of nurses, plus doctors receive annual lump sum payments during the first three years of operation — 56.5 thousand rubles.
