Serbia and NATO strengthen cooperation not only discussing the interaction, but also in concrete actions, said Monday during a visit to Serbia, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

The Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Alliance is October 6-8 in Serbia for a visit. On Monday he and President Aleksandar Vucic attended the opening of the international Serbian-NATO exercises for combating emergencies and rescue «Serbia 2018». In civil-military exercises 8-11 October, attended by 2 thousand people from 38 States, which work for combating the impacts of natural and man-made disasters.

Then NATO Secretary General together with Survived spoke at the annual Belgrade security forum, Belgrade security forum.

«NATO and Serbia work together and we are strengthening our cooperation. I think that the best way to show that we are good partners, are not conversations, and the President survived and I talked a lot and we are good friends, but, of course, despite the importance of conversations is much more important than our actions in the field, and these exercises have shown that cooperation between Serbia and NATO is not only in words but also in deeds,» — said Stoltenberg on the forum.

The Serbian President also noted the importance and usefulness of the outbreak of the exercises and thanked the NATO Secretary General, who has been called «without doubt a sincere friend of Serbia.»

The leadership of Serbia headed by Survived have repeatedly stated position of military neutrality of the state and not joining military alliances, according to a parliamentary resolution in 2007.
