Specialized Interdistrict court on criminal cases of Almaty on Monday sentenced a former akim (mayor) of the city of Victor Hrapunov to 17 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property for corruption offences, the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

«Khrapunov Viktor Vyacheslavovich found guilty… and assign punishment in the form of 17 years of imprisonment with property confiscation,» said the judge, disclosing a sentence.
