The participation of the official in the Hague in the anti-Russian campaign causes irreparable damage to bilateral relations, the responsibility for this lies with the Netherlands, Russian foreign Ministry said.

On Monday, the Russian foreign Ministry had summoned the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Russia, Renee Jones-BOS.

«The Dutch side it was considered counterproductive to continue its participation in a provocative propaganda campaign against Russia, the most recent of which was held on 4 October in the Hague press conference during which he made accusations about the alleged training of representatives of Russian cyber operations against the OPCW in April 2018», — stated in the message published on the website of the foreign Ministry.

«Such steps official Hague doing irreparable damage to bilateral relations, the responsibility for which lies entirely on the Dutch side,» reads a statement the Russian foreign Ministry.

Ministry of defence of the Netherlands on 4 October said that the country’s intelligence agencies have prevented a hacker attack on the organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons (OPCW), which allegedly tried to carry out four citizens of the Russian Federation. As stated by the Minister ANK Bijleveld suspects with diplomatic passports expelled from the Netherlands on April 13.

The Russian foreign Ministry called the accusations «another orchestrated propaganda» campaign and said that unleashed the «anti-Russian campaign of spy mania» causes serious harm to bilateral relations. Also, the Russian foreign Ministry drew attention that the statement of defense of the Netherlands made before the session of the OPCW on 9 October, in anticipation of which creates the «right» political background for wrongful initiatives.
