The international monetary Fund (IMF) has lowered the forecast of global GDP growth in 2018 and 2019, by 0.2 percentage points to 3.7%, it said in a regular review of the world economy World Economic Outlook (WEO) for October.

«In April of last year, global stimulus the world economy has led to the fact that we predicted the growth of 3.9% this and next year. However, given developments since then, that figure looks overly optimistic: instead, the economy will grow by 3.7%», — said the chief economist of the International monetary Fund Maurice Obstfeld, commenting on the forecast.

In July, the IMF also expected that global economy will grow by 3.9%.
