The Ministry of defence of Ukraine has denied the information that at a military warehouse in the Chernihiv region contains about 88 thousand tons of ammunition; the number at 1.5 to 2 times less, burning about 10%, said the Agency.

Earlier, the state service for emergency situations reported that the warehouse holds about 88 thousand tons of ammunition.

«This information is untrue because the amount of ammunition less… Fire covered only 10% technical site… If in General, it is 1.5 – 2 times less,» — said the Deputy chief of the General staff of the armed forces of Ukraine Rodion Tymoshenko at a briefing.

At a military warehouse in Chernihiv region on Tuesday night, an explosion occurred. Authorities began the evacuation. According to the General staff of VS of Ukraine, on the morning of the intensity of the explosions was two or three per second, there were no injuries. According to Ukrainian media reports, Arsenal is one of the largest in Ukraine, the territory of the warehouse is 682 hectares, of which technical area is 402 ha. The military Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine opened a case under article «negligent attitude to military officials to the service, entailed heavy consequences».
