Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that next week will travel to Uzbekistan on a state visit, where the results of the negotiations will be signed a solid package of documents and launched the construction of nuclear power plants.

«I hope that in the upcoming next week’s state visit to Tashkent the President Shavkat Mirzieev will be substantive talks. And according to their results, will be signed a solid package of intergovernmental and commercial documents,» — said Putin at the ceremony of presenting credentials by foreign ambassadors, among whom was the Ambassador of Uzbekistan.

The Russian President added that Uzbekistan is a strategic partner and ally of Russia, and bilateral relations are deepening in all key spheres: political, economic, military-technical, cultural and humanitarian.

According to Putin, he together with the head of Uzbekistan will start the construction by Rosatom of the first NPP Uzbek.
