The head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, on Wednesday visited the settlements located along the border with Chechnya, due to disputes about which in the region for a week, held a rally and met with head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov.

Yevkurov and Kadyrov on September 26 signed an agreement on the definition of the boundary between their regions, which provides for an equivalent exchange of territories. The parliaments of Chechnya and Ingushetia approved the border agreement. In this case the constitutional court of Ingushetia said that the agreement can be approved only by a referendum. The country began protests, including at place de La Concorde in Magas. On Saturday the authorities of Ingushetia on Monday sanctioned the rally, which is held at a new venue in Magas — near the building of the national broadcasting company. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin is closely watching the situation in Ingushetia and receives information from the leadership of the Republic.

On Monday, the Russian presidential envoy in skfo Alexander Matovnikov and the head of Department on internal policy of presidential administration of Russia Andrey Yarin discussed with representatives of the public of Ingushetia, the stabilization of public-political situation in the region.
