Memorial estate of Feodor Chaliapin will celebrate open day 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Museum at the Moscow house of the outstanding Russian bass, reported the press service of the Museum.

The open day will be held Vernissage of the exhibition «Dom on Novinsky», which will showcase rare photographs, letters and documents telling about the hard work of the opening of the Museum and associated with the story of the only manor of the XVIII century in the center of Moscow, accessible to the public.

In the evening of that day there will be a public talk, during which the architect Galina Dukhanina will talk about the work on the restoration project of the memorial manor Chaliapin, and photographer moscove Artyom zadikyan will present unpublished photographs of the Museum and the life of Chaliapin and his family.

Memorial manor Chaliapin, built in the last quarter of the EIGHTEENTH century, survived the fire of 1812, the revolution, war and reconstruction. In 1910, she bought a house on Novinsky Boulevard, his wife Iola have upgraded the mansion had electricity, equipped with boiler. Carriage house was adapted for the garage. Immediately behind the house was equipped with a tennis court, where in the winter an ice-rink and slides for children playing.

Despite the fact that Chaliapin was the first folk artist, in 1918 the estate was nationalised and consolidated, inspiring another 16 families. The mansion is dilapidated and destroyed. Many years daughter Shalyapin Irina fussed about the creation of the Museum Chaliapin. In January 1978, the estate was donated to the Museum of musical culture named after Glinka «in order of its preservation and restoration.» Eight years later, after a long and difficult restoration works in the estate Museum was opened.

Today at manor interiors, visitors can see stage costumes of the great singer, his personal belongings, dressing room. In the halls of the house — paintings and drawings created by famous Russian artists Levitan, Vrubel, Korovin, Serov and Chaliapin and his talented children.
