Resident of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous region was sentenced to 17 years in colony of strict regime for the murder of two colleagues, which he hid with the help of the excavator, said on Friday the regional investigation Department of the RF IC.

The Department clarifies that, in the summer of 2017, the 32-year-old resident of the city of Kogalym, drinking alcohol with two colleagues, killed them, and the bodies with an excavator buried on the territory of the production base, where he worked all three of them. Trying to hide traces of crime, he also stole the car dead and dumped in a remote area.

«However, after some time the man himself has called in law enforcement authorities, describing in detail the circumstances of the killing and marking the place where the bodies are buried. On the same day the defendant was arrested. The entire period of the investigation, he was detained», — told in the investigation Department.

The Ministry noted that a criminal case was initiated against him under articles of the criminal code related to the double murder and theft of vehicles.

«The verdict of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug — Yugra, the defendant was found guilty of the Commission of the alleged crimes and he was sentenced to a 17 years of imprisonment with punishment serving in a corrective colony of strict regime,» — said the investigation Department.
