The head of the International monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde said that Saudi shocked by the disappearance of opposition journalist Jamal Galucci, but their plans to attend the forum, «the Future investment initiative» in Riyadh is not refusing, reports channel NBC.

Speaking to reporters in Bali, where meetings of the IMF and world Bank, Lagarde stressed the importance of respect for human rights and freedom of information. According to her, she was shocked by reports of Galucci, but her «we need to conduct the Affairs of the IMF all over the world and with different governments.»

«When I go to the country, I’m always afraid to speak my mind, you know. At the moment I intend not to change my plans and very carefully follow the information that will come in the coming days,» she said.

The second forum, «the Future of the investment initiative» will be held in the capital of Saudi Arabia from 23 to 25 October under the chairmanship of the crown Prince, who also heads the Council for economic Affairs and the public investment Fund. A number of major companies have refused participation in major forum amid reports of a possible murder of opposition Saudi journalist Jamal Hasuki the Consulate of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul.

Casucci, who works as a columnist American newspaper the Washington Post and 2017 lives in the USA, went missing in Turkey on 2 October.
