Iraq plans to sign with Russia a Memorandum of understanding on the issue of travel on diplomatic passports without a visa, said in an interview with RIA Novosti, the official representative the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Iraq Ahmed mahgoub.

«We are on the threshold of signing of the Memorandum of understanding on the capabilities of the Iraqi diplomatic passport to visit Russia without a visa,» — said Mahjoub.

He noted that relations between Russia and Iraq is great, work is under way for the significant involvement of Russian companies in the Iraqi post-war reconstruction. He added that, in General, hoped that with the beginning of the new government aktiviziruyutsya the agreements reached at the February forum in Kuwait.

«I hope that with the beginning of the new government aktiviziruyutsya the results of the forum on the reconstruction of Iraq, held in Kuwait,» said Mahjoub.

The forum was held in Kuwait in February this year with the participation of 70 countries and more than 1.4 thousand companies. The Ambassador of Iraq in Russia Haidar Mansour Hadi according to the results reported that the Russian companies at the forum expressed their willingness to participate in the recovery process.
