The Russian delegation on Tuesday will inspect military facilities in Finland, said the head of the Russian national Centre for reducing nuclear danger Sergey Ryzhkov.

«In accordance with the Vienna document 2011 on confidence-building measures and security, the Russian team of inspectors plans to visit the military sites of the armed forces of Finland. Visit assessment will be conducted on October 23 in one day», — stated in the message.

The inspectors will visit a military facility of Finland in place of its normal peacetime location. Ryzhkov said that the briefing will provide information from the command concerning personnel and major weapon and equipment systems.

The Vienna document 2011 provides for a broad exchange of information on armed forces, defense planning and military budgets. OSCE countries also notify each other about certain types of military activities, inviting observers and carry out inspections. The document is aimed at further strengthening confidence and security among the participating countries (OSCE includes 57 countries in Europe, Asia and America).
