Russia wants to offer new, more complex forms of business cooperation with China, so Russian companies would take an active enough part in the First international import EXPO to be held in Shanghai in early November, said Russian Ambassador in China Andrei Denisov.
«Russia intends to actively participate in the First import EXPO in Shanghai, is one of the most important international and regional events in the field of trade conducted in China. The EXPO is organized and hosted by China and for China, which for many years remained the main trading partner of our country and it has no competitors (this – ed.),» said Denisov in an interview CGTN in anticipation of the opening of the exhibition.
According to him, China is one of the leaders in world trade, and the fact that Russia is among the top ten of its major trading partners, already a good result for Russia.
«We want to go further, I want to offer more complex forms of cooperation not only in trade in goods and services, but also in creating joint enterprises and investing in China and Russia», — said the diplomat.
He noted that the Russian side hoped that Shanghai EXPO will be a good platform for such cooperation.
«This time in the EXPO will be attended by 92 to 100 Russian companies and at least 500 representatives of business circles. We are not the leaders, but nevertheless will try to present our capabilities and resources in export of five of the seven industry-specific pavilions, we also conducted a General presentation of the Russian economy and foreign trade,» — said the Ambassador.
The first import EXPO in Shanghai (China International Import Expo) will be held from 5 to 10 November in Shanghai, it will be attended by more than 2.8 thousand companies from over 130 countries and regions of the world. Russian companies will be presented in five industry areas: food and agricultural products, high-tech equipment, medical equipment and supplies, services, and consumer goods.
