The working group of the National technology initiative «Avtonet» plans to create a single operator of the system fotovideofiksatsii traffic in Russia, in particular, violations of traffic rules, said in an interview with RIA Novosti President of the NP «GLONASS», the co-Director of the working group of the National technology initiative «Avtonet» Alexander Gurko.

«STI «Avtonet» initiated the creation of a single operator of the system fotovideofiksatsii in Russia — «auto control». The creation of this system could have a significant impact on the discipline of drivers to help reduce accidents and deaths in road accident», — said Gurko.

According to him, in 2017 each complex fotovideofiksatsii average recorded 6.2 thousand violations of traffic rules. It is noted that about 80% of all accidents occurred due to traffic violations, particularly speeding and failure to observe the rules of journey. One camera has the amount of fines not less than three million rubles.

«Plan of the Ministry of transport assumes that by the end of 2024, the number of complexes of fixing must be increased twice as compared to 2018. However, the distribution systems of photo and video recordings on the territory of Russia is extremely uneven. In addition, we know of cases where operators of such systems to increase the collection added to their program of 20 kilometers per hour to the real speed of each car. Therefore, this sector needs a unified technology policy», — said Gurko.
