The Italian government will support companies that intend to conduct business in Russia, said Prime Minister of Italy, Giuseppe Conte.

«We, as a government, I can assure you, are willing to support companies which intend to strengthen industrial cooperation with Russian companies that intend to create new joint ventures, make new investments in the country to transfer technology. We are ready to participate in new projects development,» he said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leaders of the Italian enterprises.

Conte said that Italy is committed to use all opportunities of the Russian market. Italian companies are looking for ways to advance not only in traditional sectors of bilateral cooperation, such as energy, manufacturing of furniture, clothing and food products, but also in new areas — healthcare and high-tech industries, he also stressed that the representatives of big and small business in Italy work not only in Moscow and St. Petersburg, but throughout Russia.
