The head of administration of the urban village Toksovo in the Leningrad region is suspected of receiving a bribe in especially large size, reported on the website of the regional Department of the Russian IC.

«According to investigators, on October 21 (a suspect. — Approx. ed.) received part of the demanded sum in the amount of 300 thousand rubles of the total amount of a bribe of two million rubles», — stated in the message.

As noted on the website of IC Russia, a bribe was offered to the official for the signing of the acts of the executed works and inquiries on cost and also documents on cost recovery of sewage treatment plants in the village.

According to the Department, upon inspection, was discovered cash and documents of interest. While the suspect suddenly deteriorated and he was hospitalized from the scene.

According to local media, the official received a bribe from the local MP in the car. After the transfer of money next there’s the police, but the suspects had intended to escape. During a chase the pursued tried to get rid had their money, throwing them in the car window. However, the suspect to escape failed.
