Georgia is the most ready for membership in NATO candidate, said Wednesday the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Jacek Czaputowicz after meeting with his Georgian counterpart Davit Zalkaliani in Warsaw.

«NATO’s door remains open for Georgia. We believe that Georgia deserves NATO membership as the most prepared candidate,» said Czaputowicz.

The main foreign policy priorities of the Georgian authorities called membership in NATO and the European Union. Georgia in 2014 signed an Association agreement with the EU in March 2017, the country’s citizens have visa-free entry to Schengen countries.

In turn Zalkaliani said that he had assured his Polish counterpart that «Georgia has all the practical tools in order to prepare for membership in NATO.»

«We are implementing our reforms and agreements. We are very ambitious and want to do more,» he added.
