Russian Senator Alexey Pushkov believes that it is impossible to exclude the US withdrawal from the Treaty on measures for the further reduction and limitation of strategic offensive arms (SNV-3).

On Monday the assistant to the President for homeland security John Bolton said that Washington had not yet taken a decision on the extension of the start-3, United States left open the question of the further destiny of the agreement.

«According to Bolton, it is too early to talk about the fate of the start-3 Treaty. Up to 2021 the time, they say, is still there. But in the current nature of relations with USA impossible to exclude that Washington in a year or two will tell us that start-3 US do not like. Bolton also said clearly: the olive branch it we did not bring», — wrote Pushkov in Twitter.

Earlier, the President of the United States Donald trump announced that the United States does not intend to comply with the Treaty on intermediate-range and shorter-range when it breaks, and will be released from the contract. The US President, commenting on the withdrawal from the INF Treaty, also said that Washington will develop weapons. Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow wants to obtain a more detailed explanation from the United States, and added that the scrapping of the provisions of the INF Treaty would force Russia to take measures to ensure their safety. The Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that any action in this field will meet.

The start-3 Treaty, Russia and the United States signed in 2010, because he joined in 2011. The agreement provides for the reduction of deployed strategic delivery vehicles on each side to 700 and up to 1 thousand 550 nuclear warheads on them. The duration of the contract 10 years — until 2021.
