Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday will hold a meeting of the Council for strategic development and national projects, the press service of the Kremlin.

It is noted that the main report on the national projects developed by the government pursuant to the may presidential decree, will act as the first Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov.

Learn more about projects in different areas at the meeting will tell the Vice-premiers in charge of the corresponding directions of the state policy.

«We are, in particular, will focus on national projects in the social sphere, in the field of digital economy and transport infrastructure, as well as in the field of ecology, culture, housing and the urban environment», — said the press service.
The direction is given

Putin in may this year signed a decree that determines the main directions of development of economy and social sphere until 2024. The head of state instructed to reduce by half the poverty rate in the country, to ensure sustainable growth of real incomes, the growth of pension levels are not lower than inflation, to improve the housing conditions of not less than five million families annually, to secure a mortgage at 8% for middle-income families to increase life expectancy to 78 years, and by 2030 up to 80 years.

Earlier, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev approved the Main directions of activities of the government of Russia (UNDP) until 2024.

The government in the plan focuses on national development, which are incorporated in the new the may decree, as well as implementation of 12 national projects, the Premier said.

On the development of the national projects, infrastructure development is envisaged in the next three years of 5.63 trillion rubles in the project of the Federal budget. The most significant cost associated with the development of the social sphere, namely with projects in healthcare, demography, education, science, ecology, housing construction, comfortable urban environment, creating a modern transport and energy infrastructure.

The Prime Minister also stressed that 845 billion is allocated for the development of the digital economy, support for small and medium businesses, as well as to expand non-oil exports.
