The Federation Council on Wednesday will consider the plea of inadmissibility of the sanctions pressure of the United States against Cuba, the senators urge the UN General Assembly to advocate for the lifting of the economic blockade of the island of freedom.

The draft document was approved at the meeting of the international Committee of the upper house of Parliament on Monday.

The head of the Committee Konstantin Kosachev noted that certain hopes for a thaw in relations between Washington and Havana was after taking a series of reciprocal steps of the Obama administration, but they did not materialize. In some areas the pressure on Cuba is not only not weakened, but growing, said the MP.

In the draft statement, the senators propose to strongly condemn the economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba, to Express the support of the friendly Cuban people, to determine the position that the continued pressure on Cuba is an interference in the internal Affairs of this sovereign state within the lines of intervention that the United States implement on a systematic basis, said Kosachev.

Russian lawmakers intend to urge the UN General Assembly consolidated to support the abolition of the embargo against Cuba, the document will be discussed on the eve of consideration at session of the UN General Assembly, said the Senator.

He recalled that the UN General Assembly this year, this topic will be discussed on 31 October, and the United States always remain the sole alone on this issue.
