The case against the captain of the Russian vessel «Nord» Vladimir Gorbenko, a suspect in the Ukraine in illegal fishing, will review the Obolonskiy district court of Kiev, reported in Appellate court of Kiev.

«The appellate court determined jurisdiction in the case Gorbenko – will listen to him Obolonskiy district court of Kiev», — said the Agency UNN in the court of appeal.

According to prosecutors, the captain accused of committing criminal offences under articles «illegal fish, animal or other water extracting trade» and «violation of the procedure of entry in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and departure from it with the purpose of causing harm to the interests of the state.»

Ukrainian border guards detained on March 25 Crimean ship «Nord» under the flag of Russia in the Azov sea with 10 crew members. All of them are citizens of Russia, but Kyiv considers them to be Ukrainian citizens. Two members of the crew managed to return to the Crimea via Belarus, seven was removed from the flight to Minsk. The owner stated that the ship is detained unlawfully, and the actions of border guards threat to the lives of crew members. Management of FSB of the Crimea opened a criminal case under article 211 of the criminal code «hijacking an aircraft, sea vessel or railway rolling stock».

Crimea became a Russian region after held there in March 2014 referendum in which 96.77% of voters of the Republic of Crimea and 95.6% of residents of Sevastopol voted for joining Russian Federation. Crimean authorities held a referendum after a coup in Ukraine in February 2014. Ukraine still considers Crimea its but temporarily occupied territory. The Russian leadership has repeatedly stated that the inhabitants of Crimea democratically in full compliance with international law and the UN Charter voted for reunification with Russia. According to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Crimea issue «is closed permanently.»
