Governor of California Jerry brown criticized the decision of U.S. President Donald trump to withdraw from the Treaty on the elimination of intermediate-range and shorter-range nuclear forces (INF).

Earlier, the President of the United States Donald trump announced that the United States does not intend to comply with the Treaty on intermediate-range and shorter-range when it breaks, and will be released from the contract.

Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow wants to obtain a more detailed explanation from the United States, and added that the scrapping of the provisions of the INF Treaty would force Russia to take measures to ensure their safety. The Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that any action in this field will meet.

«When mankind is technology, which can completely destroy a civilization, there is nothing so important because of what it would be possible to stop the dialogue and serious discussion,» said brown in an interview with the associated Press.

The Governor stressed that, in his opinion, the two main political parties of the United States «blind» against the global nuclear threat.

The conversation of brown with the Agency took place on the same day, when he became Chairman of the organization «Bulletin of the atomic scientists» governing the «doomsday clock».

In January, representatives of the organization said that the arrow of the symbolic «doomsday clock» indicating the threat of global disaster, become closer to nuclear midnight and now shows 23.58. The same time «the doomsday clock» show in 1953 after the first test of a hydrogen bomb.
