The agreement on interaction and cooperation were signed by the government of the Tyumen region and the Russian book Union, signed the document were put by Governor Alexander moor and the Union President Sergey Stepashin, reported RIA Novosti employee of the press service of the Governor.

According to him, on the basis of the agreement will be developed by the regional program for infrastructure development and reading promotion in the Tyumen region.

«The Russian book Union already have the experience of successful implementation of similar projects in other regions of the Russian Federation, and it will be used actively in the Tyumen region. In the opening of a new bookstore and mobile library, updating library collections, organization of book festivals with the participation of famous writers, social advertising reading,» — said the Agency interlocutor.

He added that the signing of the agreement, the President of the Russian book Union handed the Governor a certificate for replenishment of the Tyumen regional scientific library named after D. I. Mendeleev of the best examples of Russian book publishers.

According to the press service of the Governor, to date, an effective measure to promote reading in the Tyumen region is the establishment of remote access to the electronic resources of the Presidential library, which opened in 63 schools.

«Our goal is to ensure that every child, regardless of whether he lives in a large city or in a village have equal opportunities to gain knowledge, research, and realization of creative plans,» — said the head of the region Alexander moor.
