Russia’s agriculture Ministry estimates grain export capacity from Russia to 2018-2019 agricultural year (from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019) to 38-39 million tons, wheat to 33-34 million tons, is spoken in the message of the Ministry of agriculture following the meeting, Minister of agriculture Dmitry Patrushev with representatives of the largest grain exporters.

«In General, the results (agricultural. — Approx. ed.) year, the Ministry expects that the export potential of grain crops will be 38-39 million tons, of them wheat — 33-34 million tons», — stated in the message.

During the meeting the Minister discussed with representatives of exporting companies ‘ plans and forecasts the state of the industry for the current crop year. Patrushev said that Russia for several years shows growth of grain exports. «By the end of 2018, the Ministry expects the gross grain harvest in the amount of 109 million tons, of which almost two-thirds of wheat,» adds the Ministry of agriculture.

«It’s a decent harvest, which will provide our country with grain and bread, and send a substantial volume of grain for export,» — said the head of the Ministry, quoted by the Ministry.

Patrushev also pointed out that the task of the Ministry is to serve the needs of the Russian market of grain for the production of flour, bread, pasta and animal feed. «In this regard, the meeting participants made suggestions for the preservation of the balance between the increase of export performance and at the same time, saturation of the internal market», — concludes the Ministry of agriculture.
