Poland will strengthen its military cooperation with the United States, said the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Jacek Czaputowicz in Warsaw on Friday, responding to a question RIA Novosti about the intention of President Donald trump to withdraw from the INF Treaty.

«Since 2008 we cooperate with the USA (in the military sphere — ed.). Made the decision to build anti-missile bases in Redzikowo. There are already units of the U.S.», — said the Minister.

He also reminded that in Poland there are 3 thousands of American soldiers on a rotation principle.

«The American military presence in Poland is much. Due to the fact that Russia is a threat, we want that presence was increased and it was permanent,» added Czaputowicz.

«Poland is acting in a transparent manner in cooperation with NATO. We believe that these actions increase the security not only of Poland and Europe, but also the NATO», — he concluded.

Speaking on the subject of the INF Treaty, he said that «Poland stands on the position that treaties must be respected by each of the parties.»

«All parties must contract to perform. But if we are talking about these missiles, that Russia is conducting actions that violate it,» — says Polish Minister.

In this connection he stated that Poland «expresses the understanding of the US position in this matter»

Czaputowicz argues that «Poland would like to have a very good relationship with Russia, cooperation societies and States, but the international community must be United and demonstrate that there can be consent in violation of international law».

Earlier, the President of the United States Donald trump announced that the United States does not intend to comply with the Treaty on intermediate-range and shorter-range when it breaks, and will be released from the contract. Trump said that America will increase its nuclear capacity until then while the rest of us «don’t come around», and after Washington will be ready to stop this process and even to proceed to arms reduction. He explained that this message is addressed primarily to China and Russia.

Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow wants to obtain a more detailed explanation from the United States, and added that the scrapping of the provisions of the INF Treaty would force Russia to take measures to ensure their safety. The Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that any action in this field will meet.

In recent years Moscow and Washington have regularly accused each other of violating the INF Treaty. Russia has repeatedly stated that strictly complies with its obligations under the contract. Lavrov noted that Moscow has very serious questions to the US regarding the performance of the contract by the Americans themselves.

In particular, in Moscow indicate that the United States placed on land at a military base in Romania, and in Poland — a facility capable of launching a shock cruise missiles of type «Tomahawk», which is prohibited by the Treaty. The Russian side also drew attention to the fact that the United States develop unmanned fighting vehicles, funding research on creation of cruise missiles, land-based.
