A powerful earthquake of magnitude of 6.4 has damaged many of the buildings on the Greek island of Zakynthos, however, from people nobody has suffered, according to the Athens news Agency AMNA citing the General Secretariat for civil protection.

The main strike in 1.54 was followed by dozens of aftershocks.

After the earthquake the electricity supply was disrupted, now it is restored almost everywhere. In the port of Agios Sostis damaged pier. In dozens of shops and houses around the island a lot of broken glass Windows and minor injuries, the Agency said.
