Russian President Vladimir Putin and his French counterpart Emmanuel macron discussed Saturday over the phone the question of holding in Paris of the Russian-American summit, the press service of the Kremlin.
The conversation took place at the initiative of the French side.
«Heads of States discussed the participation of Russian President in the upcoming November 11 in Paris, the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the First world war. Also raised the question of holding in the French capital, the Russian-American meeting at the highest level», — stated in the message.
Earlier, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told journalists that Putin during the visit to Paris will meet on 11 November with U.S. President Donald trump. The American leader, in turn, confirmed that he could meet with Putin in November at events in Paris, dedicated to the centenary of the First World war.
