American priest mark Tyson in protest against anticanonically actions of Patriarch Bartholomew in the Ukraine left the Patriarchate of Constantinople and already enrolled in the clergy of the Russian Church abroad, on Friday, reported RIA Novosti the clergyman.

«I have already accepted into the clergy of the Eastern American diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church abroad (ROCOR) and serve at a parish in Virginia,» said the priest, formerly rector of the Dormition Church in Bluefield (WV, USA).

Father mark a few days ago, I wrote a letter to his Archbishop in which he said that the conscience no longer allows him to remember the services name of Patriarch Bartholomew. According to the priest of the Constantinople Patriarchate, he served for 26 years, half my life, and «always was as true a priest», never condemning Patriarch Bartholomew.

«A few days ago the Patriarch, whom I faithfully and prayerfully honored more than two decades took the unprecedented step of restoration of the canonical status of the rebel gang deprived of dignity and discredited clergy in Ukraine. These were people whom he had recently rejected as unworthy bishops and priests, publicly recognizing the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church under the tenure of Metropolitan Onufriy,» — says the priest in a letter, the text of which he gave to RIA Novosti.

He drew attention to the fact that «immoral and non-canonical actions of Patriarch Bartholomew in the Ukraine has contributed to violence against the canonical Church,» and the conviction of father Mark, «this violence will escalate.» «Witnessing ecclesiastical, civil war, and our Patriarch gave his official approval. New and independent «Church» that he created consists of idolaters. They worship the Holy Trinity and a false God called «free Ukraine», and have abandoned the Church of their fathers,» said the priest.

He explained that for this reason decided to leave the Patriarchate of Constantinople and go «under the omophorion» of the head of ROCOR (the Moscow Patriarchate), Metropolitan Hilarion, thereby joining together and «with suffering Ukrainian Church.»

«I ask You not to judge me because I follow their conscience in this matter. Please remember that I am leaving a very generous and loving parish, whom I serve for almost 17 years. I have no other parish. I lost my entire income. I will lose many dear and wonderful friends. I strongly supported Your election and always treat You with respect and love. I’m not the rebellious priest. But I am willing to make painful sacrifices in order to commemorate the Patriarch, who opened a wound on the body of the Church,» the letter reads.

The priest also reminded that nothing can justify incitement to split – «sin is not washed away even by the blood of martyrdom,» and advised «at any cost to avoid contact with the new «canonical» idolaters». Priest mark Tyson believes that the «artificial illusion», which went to Patriarch Bartholomew, «at the time, will be ridiculed and anathematized».

Because of the decision of Constantinople to begin providing non-canonical autocephaly churches in Ukraine, which the Russian Orthodox Church is called the schism, the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church declared the break of communion with the Patriarchate of Constantinople on the canonical territory of the ROC, including Ukraine and Belarus. The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church has called canonically void, and saw politics in the abolition of Constantinople by the act of 1686 on the transfer of the Kyiv Metropolitanate to the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate.
