A Kurultai (General meeting) of Muslims of Crimea will address to the authorities of Republic with the request to transfer the property belonging to the Fund «Crimea» on the Peninsula, the religious administration of Muslims of Crimea (ramc), said RIA Novosti participant of the Congress, the Imam of Simferopol district Raim Gafarov.

Earlier, the Deputy of the state Duma of Russia Ruslan Balbec said that the Kurultay of the Crimean Tatars can make the decision on nationalization and transfer of ownership of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of Crimea of the assets of the Fund «Crimea», whose founder is the former head of the banned in Russia «Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people»* Mustafa Dzhemilev.

«The decision was made by Kurultai, and asking the authorities to transfer the rights (to the property. — Approx. ed.), the Spiritual administration of Muslims of Crimea. The decision States that the property is considered as property of the Crimean Tatar people,» said Gafarov RIA Novosti.

Gafarov did not elaborate on what the property in question.

According to the Deputy of state Duma Ruslan Balbec, in the list of assets that can be transferred to the ramc, apartments, rooms, under-equipped medical clinic, and a building in the center of Simferopol, where to 2014 housed the leadership of the «Majlis»*. Earlier it was planned to place it in the Crimean Tatar Museum, but the building a few years worth of sealed.

The Deputy mufti of Crimea Ayder Ismailov told journalists that the decision of the Kurultay of the sbmc will be transferred to the building in Simferopol on the street Schmidt, formerly occupied by the leadership of the «Majlis»* and property in the village of Pioneer, where they were supposed to be opened hospital and a few objects.

«This building (in Simferopol. — Approx. ed.) was purchased with charitable funds, it belongs to the people. It is not the property of any person. The Kurultay decided to RAMU took the property for themselves,» — said Ismailov.

He noted that further legal registration of change of ownership will take place in consultation with the Crimean authorities. He added that in the former building of the «Majlis»* in Simferopol, it is planned to place a Museum of Crimean Tatar culture.
