Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev noted in some cases rising prices on gasoline, has instructed the energy Ministry and in charge of energy Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak in the next two days to hold consultations with the oil companies and stated that it would impose a prohibitive export duty, if in the course of these consultations the agreement on freezing of domestic prices of petroleum products will not be achieved.

«I would like one important position to identify. It is not connected with rail but it is, nevertheless, concerned about the huge number of people. I mean the prices of petroleum products. Despite the measures taken, still in many cases the rise in gasoline prices,» — said Medvedev at the meeting on the long-term development of Russian Railways until 2025.

In this regard he instructed the Ministry of energy and Kozak.

«I would like the energy Ministry directly in charge of Deputy Prime Minister held in the next few days consultations with our oil companies, where you would have agreed on that will be prepared and approved work plan and custodial agreement to maintain the current prices of petroleum products on the domestic market. Or within the next few days I’ll have to sign the decision on whether to enter prohibitive duties on oil and oil products to the market situation was more stable,» — said the Prime Minister.
