The socialist party will not nominate a candidate at the election of the Governor of Primorye

Regional branch of party «Fair Russia» will propose the candidate on elections of the head of Primorye and support the acting Governor of the region Oleg Kozhemyako, reported RIA Novosti the Chairman of the Board regotdeleniya Aleksei kozitskii.

Earlier Kozitsky, who participated in the September elections of the Governor and then scored 4,83% of the vote, did not rule out his participation in new election scheduled for December 16. Kozhemyako is on them as the independent candidate.

The leader of the socialist party Sergei Mironov said that the party will support the candidacy Kozhemyako for the post of head of the region, if he nominates the members of the Federation Council of the representative «Fair Russia» Svetlana Goryacheva. Kozhemyako said earlier that is ready to push Goryachev in the senators region.

«We will not nominate a candidate, let’s focus on helping Kozhemyako. He enjoys the confidence of the Russian President. And we will help him not so much as policies, but as the handyman for his victory in the elections and working in the region contributed to the recovery from the crisis, to address issues of worn-out infrastructure,» said Kozitsky.

The electoral Commission of Primorye, on the recommendation of the CEC of the Russian Federation recognized the results of the September elections of the head region is invalid. Former acting Governor of the Primorsky territory Andrei Tarasenko declared that considers correct the decision to cancel the election results. The candidate from the Communist party Andrei Ishchenko has expressed readiness to challenge the results in the three territories, Ussuriysk, Artyom and Nakhodka. Just filed more than 30 lawsuits, said the candidate from the Communist party.

The electoral Commission of Primorye last week started to accept documents for nomination of candidates for participation in new elections of the head region. On the first day nomination documents filed 13 people, including five independents, have told RIA Novosti Secretary of the regional election Commission Natalia Kamaeva.
