Two people died and five were injured in an explosion at the office of the election Commission in the Afghan capital Kabul, reports TOLO News.

Earlier it was reported that the explosion injured four members of the election Commission and two policemen.

Police have confirmed to a TV channel that one police officer was killed and four members of the Independent electoral Commission was injured in the explosion. Meanwhile, the election Commission told the TV station that killed one policeman and one peaceful resident, also suffered five employees of the electoral Commission.

Earlier, the TV channel TOLO News, citing a representative of the chief of police of Kabul reported that the explosion occurred at about 8.15 am local time (6.45 GMT) at the office of the independent election Commission in Kabul. The terrorist detonated the explosive device and was identified by the police.

None of the groups has claimed responsibility for the blast.
